Privacy Policy
The United for Health PAC is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. The information you provide to the United for Health PAC is used only for the purpose of administering or promoting (with your permission) the United for Health PAC, communicating with you about the United for Health PAC, and complying with applicable laws as described more fully below.
The United for Health PAC has appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
We do not sell, rent, lease or share your personal information to or with others with the following exceptions: (1) As required by law, we report your contribution and any required information to the Federal Election Commission and state and local agencies, where required; (2) your information is made available to a small number of the United for Health PAC employees who manage the program (e.g., the United for Health PAC treasurer and the United for Health PAC manager) and to limited personnel at Democracy, Data & Communications, a firm that helps to administer the United for Health PAC; (3) it may be necessary for us to provide your information to contracted external partners (for example, the business that helps us send email) in order to respond to your inquiries or provide you with services or information requested by you, but in such cases they may only use the information provided for the specified use; (4) to protect our rights or interests in the event we believe someone is violating the law, misusing the site, or harming us or others; and (5) the United for Health PAC may recognize contributors to the United for Health PAC who indicate their willingness to be recognized publicly for their contribution, through newsletters, events and other communications. The information disclosed could include such information as the contributor’s name, the United for Health PAC division/group, and a contribution amount. In order for the United for Health PAC to provide the legally required information to the Federal Election Commission and applicable state and local agencies, we may combine the information you provide on-line (such as your email address) with information from Human Resources, such as the name of your employer and your address
Federal law requires public disclosure of all contributions to separate segregated funds (commonly known as political action committees) at or above $200. This information is made available through the Federal Election Commission. Although this information is publicly available, the United for Health PAC does not make information about individual contributors readily available within the company, beyond information available to the small number of individuals who manage and administer the United for Health PAC. Reports about contributions to the United for Health PAC that are shared more broadly include information on an aggregated basis, not by individual (e.g., contributions to the United for Health PAC by business/group or by site, state or management levels).
If you would like to view or change any of your information, for example if you would like to revise your email address or if your name changes, you may do so by contacting Human Resources.
The Effective Date of this Privacy Policy is January 1, 2009. In the event of any material change to this Privacy Policy we will provide a notice of the change on this or a similar page of our website.
