A Political Action Committee (PAC) is an entity that financially supports elected officials and committees that share common legislative or regulatory goals. PACs are funded by voluntary individual contributions.

2. What is the United for Health PAC?

United for Health PAC is a bipartisan entity supported entirely by voluntary contributions from eligible employees. Employee contributions are pooled to support candidates for both federal and state office (where applicable and legal to do so).

3. Why does UnitedHealth Group need a PAC?

United for Health PAC is a key component of UnitedHealth Group’s overall Government Affairs strategy. Voluntary employee contributions are one way to ensure that UnitedHealth Group’s voice is heard in the policymaking arena by supporting candidates and elected officials who champion policies that increase affordability and access to quality health care and who work to simplify the health care system. The United for Health PAC gives our employees a collective and powerful voice in the political process.

4. Who is eligible to join the PAC?

  • All employees who are grade level 29 and above are eligible to participate.
  • Maximum personal contribution allowed is $5,000 per calendar year.
  • United for Health PAC contributions are not deductible for federal income tax purposes.
  • Contributions to the United for Health PAC are completely voluntary and UnitedHealth Group Incorporated will not favor or disadvantage anyone by reason of the amount of his or her contribution or decision not to contribute at all.

5.  How do I join United for Health PAC?

Joining United for Health PAC is easy. Contributions to United for Health PAC can be made through a convenient payroll deduction plan. See below link to sign up to contribute to the PAC today.

You may contribute up to $5,000 per year to United for Health PAC.

6.  Is my choice to participate in United for Health PAC confidential?

No.  Federal Election law,  requires United for Health PAC to report the name of any individual who contributes more than $200 per year to the PAC. These reports are made available to the public through the Federal Election Commission’s website.

7. How do I find out who the United for Health PAC has supported or is going to support?

Go to UnitedforHealthPAC.com for information. The website will be updated monthly with contribution activity and policy issue education.
